近年来我国机床五金行业经历风雨 依然茁壮成长
变革开放三十年由于范围效应产生的成果斐然，为社会作出了很多奉献，五金行业近年来开展疾速，构成了工具五金、日用五金、机电五金、不锈钢五金、磨料磨具五金等较完好的行业类别，并构成了一大批有特征的产业基地。

目前我国很多五金产品的产量居世界第一，打火机、拉链、保温杯、扳手、钳子、拉锁、刀剪等在全球市场都占有十分大的份额，对世界五金产业的影响越来越大。目前，全世界220多个国度和地域都有中国五金产品的存在，我国五金制品消费大国的位置曾经确立。
依据行业调查数据显现，五金制操行业总产值已达8000亿元，2005年—2008年坚持15%以上的增速，其中2008年全行业出口达503亿美圆，约占行业总产值的40%-50%，除了2007年增长7%外，以前不断坚持在20%-30%的高速增长。
但自2008年第四季度以来，千载难逢的全球金融危机对以出口为主的企业形成了宏大冲击。一夜之间，出口订单“消逝”，签好的出口合同有的以至已交定金，也被以种种借口退货。工具五金、建筑五金、锁具、刀剪、拉链等行业受此危机影响最为明显。有人说这是一场没有硝烟的战役，在这场战役中没有真正意义上的敌人，真正的对手就是本人。由于我们很多出口企业是以OEM为主，没有本人的品牌和销售渠道，在这次金融危机中我们的软肋充沛地暴显露来。
依据2010年的海关进出口统计数据显现：全国五金产品今年上半年出口总额为263.96亿美圆，同比增长33.2%，进口为79.84亿美圆，同比增长25.1%。
由国度统计局提供的局部五金产品今年上半年产量剖析显现：锁具产量8.5亿把，同比增长17.5%；家用燃气灶具产量1258.8万台，同比增长5.8%；家用燃气热水器产量688.6万台，同比增长63.6%。家用吸油烟机产量830.5万台，同比增长34.7%；日用不锈钢制品产量 110.5万吨，同比增长51.4%。
